Clearwater Update.

Hello everyone! Everything is going great still. I am in love. (more on that later) And work is going well. And I am on course at FLAG. Tonight I am going to the Dianetics event live! I have a seat in Ruth Eckerd Hall (spelling?) which will be a first for me!

Great so far! Just started moving into my place today and it is pretty nice! The weather is still nice, although it already feels humid. *uh oh...* But I know I will adjust just fine, having grew up in Phoenix. I am on the 3rd floor with a decent view. And I am about a mile from work, and from FLAG.

I just got on course on AP&A today. I am almost done with the book. I am in one of the many basic courserooms at flag. =D

Work is just getting going, but is looking more and more promising. www.richter10point2.com is the work website.

I guess that's about it. Everything is going well. Nothing really interesting yet but a lot of potential. ;)

I am on the way now! My stuff was shipped, I am at my stopover in Phoenix, and come Friday I will be flying to Clearwater!

I have a friend, he's a Chiropractor. And I was recently doing the Purif with him. He has only been a Scientologist for about a year.

One thing he said struck me as simple, yet insightful. After reading Dianetics he told the guy that gave it to him, "That is absolutely the safest way to work with the mind!" And it's true! And what is funny is L Ron Hubbard only refined the methods and made them even better from there! Dianetics is just the beginning!

So if you know of anyone that has some trouble with their mind (haha! Who doesn't?) than Dianetics is a very safe AND effective solution. Get them to read the book!

Yikes! The time is almost here! My flight leaves on Monday the 21st. I am flying first to Phoenix to see family. Then on the 25th I will be flying to Clearwater.

It is very strange! I am really going to miss Portland. It has become more my home than Phoenix ever was. And all my friends I have made. I will miss you all! I will be back when I can!

Purif

I finished the Purification rundown yesterday and I feel great!! And what is really amazing is, I got the results I got even with my extremely limited exposures. I have had painkillers about 5 times, Novocaine once, and that's about it when it comes to medical drugs. And absolutely no street drugs. But I still feel way better!

Anyone that lives in our society accumulates toxins in their body. That is very real to me now. And it is such a relief to get rid of them.

The other day I decided to shave off my goatee. And halfway through, with just a mustache, I realized how funny I looked! So I just had to take some pictures. Then I found a new effect on my 'photo booth' on my mac, and it was all downhill after that...

Purif update

The Purif is going well so far! For the last few days my sweat has smelled like Chlorine! Yikes! And I haven't done much swimming since Jr. High! (I was on the dive team for a couple summers back then) It is amazing that things could stay trapped in your body that long!

Anyway, finished day 15 yesterday, and rolling right along!

Japanese Garden in Portland

I am starting to say my 'good-byes' to Portland. I am going to miss it very much. As well as all the great friends I have here. So I am starting to see the sights I have wanted to see since being here. Yesterday I took a trip to the Japanese Garden and the Rose Garden.
The rose Garden is not really in season, so was not much to look at. But the Japanese garden was amazing. Tons of flowering trees, waterfalls, streams, moss. Just the whole experience! I definitely recommend it!

Here are some of the pictures I took. (They are good size picture files so may take a minute to load.) Towards the end there are some pictures that are not in the Japanese garden, but are of the surrounding areas. Very beautiful too!

Purif going well!

Things are going well. I am definitely getting out some junk! Today I ran very comfortably for 16 minutes, without having to walk at all, etc. Very little effort. It was nice. And then when I got in the sauna, my sweat just smelled weird. I couldn't quite place the smell, but it was weird.

Better out than in, eh?

Job Opportunity

I have a good friend who lives in Clearwater Florida. He just started a new company and would like to have me work with him. We have worked together in the past and he is really great to work for, and it will be a good opportunity in many different ways!

So it is looking like I will be in Clearwater around the end of April! Exciting huh? I am going to miss Portland. It feels more like 'home' than anyplace I have lived so far. Hopefully I will be back in a year or two...

I fixed up the website I've been working on. It's looking better and better. One thing I would like to do is put green borders around the pictures, but I need to figure out/find the code for it.

Gooofyness

It is so much fun to just goof around sometimes! I have been messing around with 'GarageBand' on my Mac for the last hour or so. I don't have or even play any instruments, but I sing! And I'm just havin fun with it!

I took the one barber shop song I know and harmonized with myself. SOOOO much fun! And I killed myself laughing after that recording 'one week' by Barenaked Ladies. LOL. "Chick of the china, the chinese chicken, you have a drumstick and..."

Congress on Help

I went to a Scientology congress on help this weekend and it was awesome! Do you know anyone that isn't interested in life? Well, that is what this congress addressed. How to help someone come up to a level where they can be interested in life! Pretty basic stuff huh?

Needed that

Ever felt the need to just unwind a bit? Veg out? Well I got the chance to live one of those moments today. I got home and had a number of things I could have or should have done. Like put together the last info for filing my taxes, or other fun things. But instead I decided to watch a movie. And then another movie! Ahhh. Such an enjoyable waste of time. Now if only I had someone to waste it with. ;)

In case you were wondering, I watched "blades of glory", and "Stranger than Fiction". I love Stranger than Fiction. Especially the ending. It gets me choked up, but in a good way.

I think I needed that. Now off to sleep.

Last few weeks

I haven't kept my blog very up to date lately, so I will try to catch everyone up. I went to Phoenix, came back. And then I went back for another 8-9 days. Everything went well. I helped my dad with a few different floors, earned some extra money, and got to see my family before the busy season hits up here in Portland. (Spring is when everyone starts wanting landscaping work done)

Everyone in my family is doing well. My parents have been taking this juice nutritional product that has amazing antioxidant properties, and are doing better than they have in a long time! They liked it so much that we signed up as distributors! It's given me extra energy and made me feel better too. I will add a link to a site or two about it on my blog links section.

This last week has been a blur, with work and making up course time. I am finally starting to pick up speed on my Advanced Procedures and Axioms course. The first 4 or so lectures were rough! But I got soooo much out of them!

This weekend I went bookselling at the new kiosk in Lloyd center and sold a DVD. I also went to the potluck in the new building which was a lot of fun. And then today (Sunday) a friend and I went out to try and recover a couple people. No products yet in that area, but it was a lot of fun.

I also met up with Shane on his website, so have a lot of stuff to do for him. I am looking forward to this next week! It is going to be busy, but fun!

Web stuff. Work in progress

I have been trying my hand at HTML. I still have a lot to learn, but am having fun. I'm helping Shane Kenney make some changes and updates to his website.

There are a number of things I want to do. Some I just haven't had the time for yet. (Like adding a plain text heading in place of the photo heading on the top.) Others I have to learn how to do. (Like CSS.)

Anyway, it's fun. And it will be a good learning experience. And I get to help out a friend.

Feel free to check it out. You can give me suggestions if you want, but at this point there are so many things that I can see need to be done, that it is probably not worth telling me about just yet. Once I am getting low on things to do I will ask again. =D

Internet Terrorism?

It is amazing to me what lengths some people will go to in an effort to harm Scientology. It also makes me proud that yet again we rise above the attacks and suppression. You may have heard of the recent internet attacks against Scientology. What these terrorists don't realize is the true effect they are having.

Many people have an ability to see through contrived and made up "facts". It is also obvious when something is taken out of context. The average decent person, when reading slanderous and insubstantial assaults on Scientology, knows there is more to the story. And they come to us to find out for themselves what Scientology is and what we are about.

Anyone out there who wants the truth is welcome to visit any of the websites below. Also, to find out more you can read any of the books on Scientology, or even go into your local Church of Scientology.

Thankful

You know when you just feel like doing something fun even though the timing may not be perfect? Isn't it a great feeling when your friends jump aboard and back you up?
Tonight I wanted to go out and do something with some friends here in Portland, but they have to work pretty early tomorrow morning and it was about 10:30 already. And they jumped on it and we all went to Cheesecake factory! It was a lot of fun and great to do before being gone for a week!
Also, this morning I went up to Vernonia to help the flood victims up there. I went up there with Dr Beeson (chiropractor). He gave 12 adjustments and I gave 10 nerve assists. All with great results! It feels good to help doesn't it?

The above are just a few things I am thankful for. And I am done writing for tonight. I got to get up eventually tomorrow and pack for Phx. I'm going back for a week for some work stuff. =D
